Project Description:
Hamilton County is requesting funding in the amount of $200,000 to cover the current agricultural arena. This facility serves numeroius groups and organizations. Agricultural related events are of major importance in this small rural community. Events such as County Fairs, livestock and equine competions, and 4-H events are just a few of the constanly reoccurring events that focus on youth participation. This facility has also hosted a regional youth rodeo, which involved all of North Florida, Georgia and Alabama. The county has made major improvements to this facility, which include $75,000 dollars in upgrades and improvements.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
This project would enhance the viability of this facility by providing year round use regardless of weather conditions for major agricultural events. The events, which include other counties and even other states, its improvements would reflect positively on the State of Florida.
