To have the Enhanced 911 system up and runing by December 31, 2002. Lafayette County recently experienced a devestating wild fire and if the system had been complete there would have been current maps, which would have aided the firefighters. The maps that were available date back to the late 80's and early 90's and do not show many of the new roads and homes in the county. |
