Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Community volunteers are trained and utilized (outlined by 39.702, F.S.) to conduct judicial review hearings on abused and neglected children.  The diverse panels submit to the circuit court, an in-depth report on the child's current status and include recommendations for the permanency placement of the child.  Funds for program in Marion & Lake Counties.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

Timely reviews as per federal and state timelines; stimulates system to provide quality case management and progress; Title IV-E recoupmen; Provides overall measurement of effectiveness of child welfare system; Provides unbiased information on the effectiveness and efficiency of the child welfare system; Increases linkages to service needs; Ensures follow-through on deficient dependency cases; Increased community awareness and collaboration.
