It will allow County to consolidate the district's alternative education programs and to house its students in an inviting, technologically sound facility. The number of students unable to function acceptably, but still remaining in Manatee County's traditional high schools has grown rapidly because of the County's mandatory attendance requirement for 16-18 year-olds instituted by the Legislature on October 1,1999. |
