| The N.E. Focal Point has been well recognized by the Florida Council on Aging and other social service agencies as a leader in providing social services for seniors in NE Broward County. The proposed fitness/wellness center will provide an integral component to a senior "campus" that already provides Alzheimer's Day Care, more recreation needs, and counseling services for seniors in the community. The city seeks $500,000 from the State of Florida in matching monies for a project estimated to be $1.5 million. | |||||||||
