| Join a Team not a gang is a gang prevention program that serves 2,100 children in 200 schools in Miami-Dade County. It is staffed by one Miami-Dade County police sergeant and 28 Miami-Dade County Police officers. The program focuses on gang alternatives and resistance strategies for students as they prepare to enter middle school. | |||||||||
