| This project will extend the Mexico Beach Municipal Pier by an additional 500 feet and place a 100 foot wide "T" at the end. Expansion will provide improved an improved venue for sporting, tourism and community activities. | |||||||||

| Once completed it is anticipated that Mexico Beach's tourism industry will benefit by a 20 percent increase in off-season occupancy and 10 percent in-season occupancy. Fiscally, this equates to an overall projected annual increase of $628,783.43 to accommodation businesses alone. Additionally, it is anticipated that participation in certain special events, such as the 32-year-old Mexico Beach Ling (fishing) Tournament, can be expanded by as much as 40 percent. | |||||||||
