Except as otherwise provided by this act, a responding tribunal of this state:(1) Shall apply the procedural and substantive law, including the rules on choice of law, generally applicable to similar proceedings originating in this state and may exercise all powers and provide all remedies available in those proceedings; and
(2) Shall determine the duty of support and the amount payable in accordance with the law and support guidelines of this state.
1Note.—Section 81, ch. 2011-92, provides that “[e]xcept as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect upon the earlier of 90 days following Congress amending 42 U.S.C. s. 666(f) to allow or require states to adopt the 2008 version of the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, or 90 days following the state obtaining a waiver of its state plan requirement under Title IV-D of the Social Security Act.” Section 18, ch. 2011-92, amended s. 88.3031, to read:88.3031 Application of law of state.—Except as otherwise provided in this act, a responding tribunal of this state shall:
