Job Title

OPS - Executive Secretary (State Affairs Committee)

General Summary

Located in Tallahassee. Performs administrative tasks and assignments in support of the State Affairs Committee and its subcommittees. Interacts with members of the Florida House of Representatives, representatives of state and local government, and the public. Attends committee and subcommittee meetings to provide administrative support, including meeting setup and managing public speaker requests. Assists supervisor in handling daily administrative duties. Types correspondence, memos, reports, and routes incoming calls.  Reviews all typed materials for grammar, punctuation, and content.  Assists in the preparation of special reports, research assignments, and projects as directed. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or its equivalent and two years of secretarial and/or clerical experience.  College education can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.  Ability to type at a rate of 50 correct words per minute and to proficiently use word processing software.

Salary

This is full-time temporary employment.  Hourly rate of pay is $13.00.
