  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to credit card purchases;

  3         prohibiting the appearance of certain

  4         information on receipts for purchases made by

  5         credit card; providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Credit card receipt information

10  limited.--Information that identifies the account of a credit

11  card holder, including, but not limited to, the card holder's

12  social security number and his or her account number, may not

13  appear in its entirety on any receipt for a purchase paid for

14  by credit card.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
