370.101 Saltwater fish;
regulations. ---
(1) The Division of Marine Resources is authorized to
establish weight equivalencies when minimum lengths of saltwater
fish are established by law, in those cases where the fish are
artificially cultivated.
(2) A special activity license may be issued by the
division pursuant to s. 370.06 for catching and possession of fish
protected by law after it has first established that such protected
specimens are to be used as stock for artificial
cultivation.
(3) No permit may be issued pursuant to subsection (2)
until the division determines that the artificial cultivation
activity complies with the provisions of ss. 253.67-253.75 and any
other specific provisions contained within this chapter regarding
leases, licenses, or permits for maricultural activities of each
saltwater fish, so that the public interest in such fish stocks is
fully protected.
