443.1316 Unemployment tax collection services; interagency agreement.
(1) The Department of Economic Opportunity shall contract with the Department of Revenue, through an interagency agreement, to perform the duties of the tax collection service provider and provide other unemployment tax collection services under this chapter. Under the interagency agreement, the tax collection service provider may only implement:
(a) The provisions of this chapter conferring duties upon the tax collection service provider.
(b) The provisions of law conferring duties upon the department which are specifically delegated to the tax collection service provider in the interagency agreement.
(2)(a) The Department of Revenue is considered to be administering a revenue law of this state when the department implements this chapter, or otherwise provides unemployment tax collection services, under contract with the department through the interagency agreement.
(b) Sections 213.015(1)-(3), (5)-(7), (9)-(19), and (21); 213.018; 213.025; 213.051; 213.053; 213.0532; 213.0535; 213.055; 213.071; 213.10; 213.21(4); 213.2201; 213.23; 213.24; 213.25; 213.27; 213.28; 213.285; 213.34(1), (3), and (4); 213.37; 213.50; 213.67; 213.69; 213.692; 213.73; 213.733; 213.74; and 213.757 apply to the collection of unemployment contributions and reimbursements by the Department of Revenue unless prohibited by federal law.
